Once certified as an Open Water diver in Aug 1999, I was addicted. I became an instructor in 14 months showin gthe excitement and dedication I have to this sport. Many people ask me what class I like to teach the most and I'd say it's a toss up. I love teaching Open Water classes because it's where it all begins and there's nothing better than to see someone overcome the anxiety of their first time breathing under water. But then again, I also love seeing these same people grow as they gain comfort in their Advanced Open Water classes and the ultimate in achievement when they complete the Rescue course. It's all exciting to me.
There are many places which I have not explored yet, but I've been to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, Cozumel, MX; Playa del Carmen, MX; Acapulco, MX; Roatan, Honduras; Bonaire, Netherland Antilles; Belize; Japan; in addition to many dives stateside in Lake Travis (Austin, TX), Aquarena Springs (San Marcos, TX), Lake Superior (Wisconsin), Florida Keys (Florida) and Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary (Gulf of Mexico). They are all special in their own way and I simply can't pick a favorite!
Dive safe and hope to see you in class soon!
