Mike Lutz epitomizes what it’s like to fall in love with a sport and go for it full throttle. A week after getting his Open Water certification he gained his Advanced Open Water status. The following month he became a Rescue Diver.
Within his first year as a diver he completed his Divemaster certification and logged 100 dives. He first became an instructor with PDIC in 2002 and crossed over to PADI in 2003. Mike joined Scubaland in 2008 and is now a PADI Master Instructor and a DSAT Tec Deep Instructor. He is also a DAN Instructor.
Mike’s diving passions are wreck diving, photography, and teaching. His son is a PADI Master Seal Team Member. Mike has been diving all over the world, but still has a lot to explore. Among his favorites are the Bay Islands of Honduras, Bonaire, the Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Florida, Indonesia, Hawaii, Jamaica and Texas Gulf rig diving.
