Policies and Programs

  • Fit Guarantee

    We guarantee the fit of your SCUBA and snorkeling gear! We will exchange an item as many times as we need to in order to get it right. If you are having a problem with a piece of gear you purchased from Scubaland please let one of our Equipment Counselors know so that we can fix it.

  • Cancellations and Reschedules
    1. Course fees will only be refunded in cases where a student cannot receive medical clearance to dive.
    2. Course fees and unused mateerials may be returned for store credit.
    3. Reschedule fees may apply in cases where we do not receive at least 48 hours notice. Ask one of our training counselors for details.
  • Returns and Exchanges
    1. Items may be returned within 15 days for store credit as long as they are returned with the original packaging.
    2. Items may be exchanged within 15 days with original packaging.
    3. Some items may not be exchanged or returned once thy have been used. Ask one of our equipment counselors for any specific restrictions.
    4. All sales are final on closeout merchandise.
  • Air and Nitrox Fills
    1. All tanks must have current hydrostatic and visual inspections and the stamps and stickers must be readable.
    2. We can only fill breathing air tanks for certified divers.  Please bring your certififcation card with you. 
    3. You must be properly certified for mixed gas fills (i.e., Nitrox certified for mixes EANx40 or lower and technical diving certification for mixes greater than EANx40).
    4. Payment is due before the fill. Tanks with currrent "free air" stickers or divers with air fill cards can drop their tanks off without making a payment.
    5. Please insure that your tanks are uniquely marked (i.e., with your name on on it) when dropping off tanks for fills or services.
    6. We will only fill a tank to the original working pressure specified in the tank markings. We no not overpressurize. Maximum fill pressure is 3500 psi.
  • Service and Repair
    1. Please remove all loose items from BCDs and regulators when checking them in for service.
    2. We will repair or service your equipment provided  the manufacturer provides the parts needed for the service.
    3. If your equipment is too old or too damaged to be serviced we will offer you a trade-in credit on a new piece of equipment.
    4. Please thoroughly test and inspect your equipment before taking your equipment home. Problems with your equipment are much easier to fix in the shop than on your dive trip.
    5. Please insure that you receive all of your equipment back, that nothing is missing, and hoses are configured the way you like them.
    6. If you have a tank that fails visual or hydrostatic testing, payment for the service is still due.
  • Free Bench Tests and Tune-ups

    If you have a regulator or BCD that has been serviced by Scubaland in the last two years you are eligible for free bench tests and tuning. You can bring your equipment in whenever you like and we'll test it and tune-it for you for free!
