Training Dive Sites in Central Texas

Windy Point Park is one of the top diving “hot spots” in the Central Texas area. It has been recognized by various divers and instructors from all over the state. Locally, several Fire Rescue and Underwater Rescue Operations use Windy Point Park as a training ground to help save lives.

Mansfield Dam Park offers beautiful views of Lake Travis where families can picnic, swim in a secluded cove, fish, and play and includes the largest public boat ramp on Lake Travis with an extensive scuba diving park.

At the headwaters of the San Marcos River, more than 200 artesian springs bubble up to form Spring Lake. Here human history stretches back more than 12,000 years to the last ice age and natural history even further. Spring Lake is a jewel for divers.

Reveille Peak Ranch is the Texas Hill Country at its best, combining a love for the land with the spirit of adventure. A 1,300-acre outdoor event, adventure and education center just outside of Burnet, Reveille Peak Ranch is less than an hour from Austin.

The Comal River is the shortest navigable river in the state of Texas in the United States. Proclaimed the "longest shortest river in the world" by locals, it runs entirely within the city limits of New Braunfels in southeast Comal County. It is a tributary of the Guadalupe River.

The Scuba Ranch, formerly known as Clear Springs Scuba Park, opened June 15, 2001. As of May 2018 we are under new management and changes/updates are continuing to be made. We are family owned and operated, and offer a 22 acre spring-fed lake that has one of the most beautiful, natural habitats seen in a fresh water Texas Lake. Underwater attractions and wildlife are awaiting your exploration! Also, we're home to the "largest freshwater shark in North America", Sisco the Shark.
